VACUUM BAG SEALANT TAPE

BRIPOL-200Y is YELLOW colored Sealant Tape specially formulated for use in Wind Energy Industry for Composite manufacturing by Vacuum Bag Resin Transfer Molding Process (VBRTM). It is compatible with wide variety of film types and tool surfaces of aluminum, steel, fiberglass, nickel and graphite etc. It forms positive vacuum between vacuum bag film and molding tool surface. After cure cycle it strips easily and cleanly from the tool surfaces (at room temp.) without leaving any residue. It is suitable for Room Temp. / Low Temp. applications using oven / autoclave.

Properties & Application Procedure:

It is self fusing, non-conductive & ROHS Compliant. It does not contain Asbestos and is free from Solvents. It is pressure sensitive and have excellent adhesion. With pressure it fills minor irregularities in the mould surface. Mould surface to be applied must be clean, dry and free from dust and oil etc. Apply by hand to a clean dry tool surface with release paper on top. When the sealant Tape is in position, remove the release paper and lay the vacuum bag film over it. Apply pressure by hand or Roller on the vacuum bag film to obtain maximum adhesion and to ensure positive vacuum.

BRIPOL-200Y is supplied in Roll form with removable release liner. Its regular size is 12.5 mm width x 3.1 mm Thick x 16 Meters Length. Each box has 20 such Rolls = 320 Meters. Other sizes can be manufactured on specific order/s.
